Erum Office Manager

Erum – Office Manager

Hello, I am Erum, and I am the office manager here at Smileville Family Dental! My journey in the dental field began back in 2002 while I was living in Los Angeles, California. In 2011, I moved to Northern Virginia, and shortly after, I joined the team as a dental assistant in 2013. Over the years, I have had the opportunity to grow with the practice, and in 2022, I stepped into my current role as office manager.

I am originally from Pakistan and am a proud mom of two amazing children who keep me inspired every day. Outside of the office, I enjoy traveling to new places, doing a bit of online shopping and spending time in the kitchen cooking for family and friends.

If you asked my team to describe me, they would probably say I am always cheerful, full of energy and someone who listens with empathy. I love being a source of support and advice for both our patients and staff, and I truly value the positive, team-oriented environment we’ve built here at Smileville Family Dental.

Tala – Marketing & Insurance Claims Specialist

I have been in the dental field since graduating high school in 2014, thanks to being lucky enough to attend a school that offered a dental assistant program. I first joined our team back in 2016 as the insurance coordinator and worked with them until 2019. After that, I took some time off to raise my two boys and finish my marketing degree at George Mason University. In early 2025, I was excited to return to Smileville Family Dental, now serving as both the marketing manager and insurance claims specialist.

Outside of work, you will often find me at the gym, baking or out on adventures with my boys. Fun fact: I am a big foodie and love exploring new restaurants in the area!

Tasia – Treatment Coordinator

I jumped into the dental field about five years ago and became part of the team in October 2020 as a front desk treatment coordinator. I love working with our awesome patients every day, helping them understand their treatment plans—covering everything from steps to costs to what they can expect in the long run. I graduated from James Madison University in 2014 with a business degree in Information technology.

When I am not at work, you will find me hiking, traveling or at Disney (I am basically a kid at heart). And a fun fact about me: I am a proud cat mom!

Islia – Sterilization Technician

Hi, I am Islia, and I am one of the sterilization technicians here at Smileville Family Dental. My role is to ensure that all our instruments are thoroughly cleaned and properly sterilized so that everything is safe and ready for our amazing patients. I became part of this wonderful team in May 2023, and it has been such a great experience ever since.
I am originally from Honduras, and family plays a huge role in my life. I am a proud mom of three and a very happy grandmother to the sweetest little granddaughter. One of my greatest joys is cooking for my family and spending quality time with them.

When I am not at work, you will often find me at church, enjoying time at local parks or browsing around the mall. The people who know me best would describe me as calm, easygoing and someone who loves to laugh.

Cynthia Lead Dental Assistant

Cynthia – Lead Dental Assistant

Hi, I am Cynthia, and I am proud to be the lead assistant here at Smileville Family Dental! I was one of the very first dental assistants to join the team back in May of 2011, and it has been such a rewarding experience to grow alongside this practice and care for so many wonderful patients over the years.

I am originally from Puerto Rico, and family is a big part of who I am. I am a proud mom to three amazing boys and a sweet puppy named Luis. In my free time, I love soaking up the sun at the beach and spending quality time with my loved ones.

While I enjoy checking out new restaurants and trying different foods, I actually really love cooking at home and experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen. My coworkers would probably tell you I am always smiling, full of positive energy and always up for a good chat.

Froogh – Dental Assistant

Hi, I am Froogh! I am originally from Afghanistan and joined the Smileville Family Dental team in November 2023. Before that, I had already spent over two years working in the dental field. Even though I earned my bachelors of arts degree in English literature, I discovered a real passion for dentistry and have loved being part of this profession.

Outside of work, I am into photography, shopping and winding down with a good movie—especially horror and action films. And just like a few of my coworkers, I am a proud cat mom!

Grant – Dental Assistant

I became part of the Smileville Family Dental family in April 2024. Before joining the team, I spent five years working as a dental assistant. I hold an associate’s degree in applied science, completed a dental assistant program and earned my national X-ray certification.

Outside of work, I love staying active and adventurous—I enjoy hitting the gym, hiking and playing pool.
A couple of fun facts about me: I am half German and half Welsh, I have a fear of heights and I am actually the only male assistant here at the office!

Jennifer – Dental Assistant

Hi, I am Jennifer! I have been working as a dental assistant here at Smileville Family Dental since September 2024, right after finishing my dental assisting course. It has been an awesome experience so far, and I have loved being part of the team.

I am originally from the Dominican Republic and like to stay active by going to the gym when I am not at work. I also enjoy traveling whenever I get the chance and love experimenting with makeup and trying out new looks. On my days off, I usually go for walks or hit the trails for a good hike. It is my favorite way to relax and enjoy some fresh air.

Noelle – Dental Assistant

Hi, I am Noelle! I joined the Smileville Family Dental team in 2022, and it has been an amazing journey so far. Before becoming part of this wonderful group, I worked as a dental assistant for almost two years, which really helped me build a strong foundation in the dental field. That experience inspired me to take the next step in my career; I am currently studying to become a dental hygienist, and I am excited about what the future holds.

When I am not working or studying, I love spending time outdoors. Some of my favorite activities include boating, fishing and hiking. Two fun facts about me is that I love singing and I once caught a 50-pound catfish! It was definitely one of my most memorable moments.

Verenise – Front Desk Receptionist

Hi – I’m Verenise! I began my dental career here at Smileville in February 2025. Outside of work, I love spending time outdoors with my kids—whether we’re playing soccer or going on nature walks. I also enjoy baking sweet treats in my free time.

I believe that patient education, compassion, and a gentle approach are key to making each visit stress-free and enjoyable. I joined the Smileville team about a year and a half ago but I have been in the dental field for 25 years now. When I’m not cleaning teeth, you can find me coaching basketball! Fun fact about me is that I’m a total introvert.

Hi, I’m Isis – one of the front desk receptionists here at Smileville! I’ve been part of the Smileville family for 2 years and have worked in the dental field for about 7 years. Outside of work, I love hiking and taking long walks with my fur babies. And I’m absolutely obsessed with the beach!
Fun fact about me: I’m a proud dog mom to three sweet girls – Bella, Cali, and Ivy. Bella is actually the mama of the other two!

Linda Administration

Linda – Administration

Hi there – I’m Linda! I proudly joined the Smileville team in January 2024, bringing over 30 years of experience in the dental field. Throughout my career, I’ve had the opportunity to work in a variety of dental office settings, where I’ve developed a deep passion for patient care and helping people feel comfortable and confident in their smiles.

Outside the office, I love to unwind with a little self-pampering at local spas. A fun fact about me: I’ve spent my entire life in Alexandria, VA—born and raised, and still happy to call it home! While I’ve always stayed local, my husband and I love to travel with our two sons to some of our favorite getaway spots, including Rehoboth Beach, St. Michaels, and Hilton Head, SC.
